Insiders claim Ronaldo will be the cover athlete for the FC 27 Ultimate Edition, while the Standard Edition will feature next gen stars like Jude Bellingham or Dembele.
This is not the first time Cristiano Ronaldo has been on the cover of an EA sports game, since he was the face of FIFA 18 and FIFA 19. He was the solo cover star for the FIFA 18 global Standard Edition. For FIFA 19. he was supposed to be the main guy again, but EA ended up removing him later due to his transfer and legal issues.
But that does not take away from his legacy as a two time cover star, and if the rumors are true, this will be his third time. Whether you are a CR7 fan or just a regular gamer, that is pretty wild.

Then in mid to late September, EA will likely open up early access a week early for EA Play members or Ultimate Edition buyers. That is when everything in the game will be fully revealed.
The global release date is pretty much set for around September 25 across all platforms. The price will probably be the same as FC 26 or maybe just slightly higher.
